This approach to activity and mobility has proven beneficial in combating potential conditions intensified by lack of movement in the hospital setting. Anyone who has ever experienced a hospital stay knows that getting a patient moving is often the goal, making them one step closer to discharge and continued healing. To implement the Johns Hopkins Activity & Mobility process across our hospital system takes careful planning, consistent application and new mobility equipment deployed in all areas involved with in-patient care.
